I installed and removed 996 sport seats. They sit way too high and do not go far back enough for my tastes. Is there a way to lower the seats?

I am guessing not. I have followed many posting on this subject and the riding high is always mentioned. If you are under 5-9 I don't think it wouldn't be a problem. Over 6 foot it is a problem.

I take it yours are 993 sport seats? It's not so much the height but there is no support underneath your legs because it's high and forward. I don't think the non powered 996 seats get as low as a 993 powered seat.

Well I'm "low" because I had to sell my 996 sport seats
Seriously though, I did warn all potential buyers (and the final paying buyer) that the 996 seats will raise the driver ~1".

Weird, with my 996 seats fully compressed I don't have any problems. And I'm 5"10.

I only did the passenger side, which may sit a little differently? And the seats were brand new firm leather and cushon.

My sport seats had a manual lever for the bottom cushion. Are you making sure you sit in them and pull the lever to drop them to their lowest point?
You have to sit in them to make 'em go down.
