Default FS: 996 Sport Seats with Crests

I really hate to do this, but a sudden upcoming change in work forces the sale.

I purchased these seats from a fellow Rennlister last year. After they were shipped to me they sat in their shipping boxes in a climate controlled garage until now. I have never removed them, just opened the box to confirm that they were in fact in there.

They are from a 2005 GT3. There were fewer than 2000 miles on them when they were removed from the car.

Crest in headrest!
Black full leather, full power.
Hard back, unpainted.
No heat.
All rails, etc. included.

Serious buyer(s) will be referred to original owner for any final questions regarding history and authenticity.

These are images taken by the previous owner and are being used WITH permission.

$2500 USD
Shipping costs within CONUS are negotiable.
I can accept PayPal, but fees are negotiable.

So, do they fit easily into a 993 C4S or do they need to be modified in some way first? Basically, is it a plug and play swap out so to speak?

Sorry if this is a dumb, obvious question, but I'm not aware of ever seeing 996 Sport seats easily placed into a 993.

They look great. How do they compare to the 993 sport seats? As nice?

This thread (with huge thanks to Leland for his great DIY) should help with questions about install.
It is the kind of job either you can do, or with a print-out of that thread along with a shop that doesn't have its head completely up its ..., you should be able to have the install done quite quickly and easily.

RallyJon - When the seats that are for sale here are full leather and full power they are therefore going to have a greater value. In addition, the seats for sale have very little use and are in impeccable condition.

I've got a set of 996 sport seats out of a GT3 also ... they have red stitching and red backs ... just need to get them in my car.

Yours are priced VERY well. I think the other set was a fluke. When I was looking, I never saw a pair that cheap. Most sets I see for sale are hovering around $3K easily. Yours look REALLY nice and in perfect condition. Good luck with the sale!!!

Guys, I have seen several sets for 1500 to 1700. I got mine for 1650. Mine are heated with crest in the head rest. So his price is close.

BTW, easy install with the DIY. Remember you loose 1 to 1.33 inches of headroom.

Man, I'd snap em up and turn them around, cause I've seen them fly out the door for nearly double!

Man, that DIY sounds way too complicated for me to tackle but I'm sure my indie (who I haven't even met yet) could do it for me should I take this plunge.

What's the downside of these sport seat in a 993? Are you losing some electronic function (electronic seat back, forward, etc?

Why don't more people go this route than the more expensive 993 Sport Seats?

Do some people find the 996 seat not matching as much as the OEM 993 seat? I figure with many of us going with the MY02 shifter and the 996 steering wheel people probably don't care much about this, or do they?

How does the comfort compare to the regular 993 stock seat? I find mine to be pretty darn comfortable... for a 911 that is.

The looks of the 996 seat vs the 993 seat - do most of you prefer the 996 seat in this respect?

Hmmmm - I'm starting to wonder about this mod. $1500-1800? That's not bad at all.

Bumping this up as I really need to sell these seats.
As per the member-to-member sales section, I will now provide CONUS shipping as part of the sales price.
