Default New 993

Well, I guess I just bought a 993 today! I actually bought the car last Friday, but the sale was contingent upon a successful PPI, which happened today.

Its a '97 993 Carrera Cabriolet, manual trans., arctic silver with grey interior and black top, 48000 mi., really clean cosmetically and in good shape mechnically. I'm from Orange Co. California and the car is in San Diego, my wife and I will pickup the car this coming Friday (and take the long way home)!

While I've owned a few sports cars in my time, I've only owned 1 Porsche previously and it was a '62 356B S-90 Coupe, so this is a BIG change for me, I'm really looking forward to it. I'll get some pictures when I pickup the car this weekend.

Congrats. I'm betting now til the weekend will seem like an eternity as you wait for your new car. Can't wait to see some pics. If you have any pics of your old '62 kicking around those would be fun to see as well.

Congratulations! You will be smiling to yourself the entire drive back! BTW, you're just a few miles down the road from me, so if you want to connect one of these weekends and talk cars let me know.

The new car! These are quick snaps out front, not glamour shots by the beach/mountains, I'm learning how important pictures are to you guys .

And, the old car. It was totaled in an accident last summer -- not my fault, of course. I was very sad to lose it, but it was great while I had it.

Notice that spacious engine bay, all you need for 90 bhp! I'm going to miss that!

Beautiful cab. Sure is a shame about the 356. Welcome and enjoy.

Looks great. You'll sure enjoy it.

You might want to invest in the wind deflector, if you don't have one already. It really cuts down on any wind buffeting.
