OT: Remind me to avoid spending time on OT
Have recently ventured into the OT section where I've been exposed to some of the most hateful, ignorant, poorly written, and poorly reasoned discussions. Has anyone else had this experience? Sure cured me of my interest in the OT board. Remind me to stay on 993.

I generally go on to see what's new on the "I'd Hit It" thread or the "Grid Girls" thread. Other than that, it makes my head hurt and reminds me of thirty sirens going off at once, each one trying to sound different but ending up sounding the just the same.
Oh, I will say that OT has been useful for the truly OT subject such as computer questions and the like.

I feel the same way Matt. Some seriously upset people posting regularly over there. If there was a balanced discussion of some of the popular issues like the war, George W, and the other regular fodder it would be interesting. But I don't generally post there as I don't feel like getting in someone's cross hairs. The "I'd Hit It" thread has heated back up. But what happened to "Grid Girls"? Sadly it has disappeared lately.

The OT forum was cool while my "Girls with Great Butts" thread had legs ... in fact ... it had so much leg ... that it got abyssed.
I'd recommend a thread subscription to the "I'd Hit It" thread.
The mentality in OT is ... sadly ... often so juvenile ... that I've become bored.
Oh yah ... but if you ever wanna learn about politics ... the RL OT forum is the place to go.
