993 used pricing versus Blue Book

The Kelly Blue Book is about as useless to car values ... especially older P-cars ... as having a sweater in hell.
Just my $0.02 ... and I don't want change.

I don't know where Excellence gets its data but there is something seriously wrong with their price estimates. Just one example from the current month (and its a 996 so no 993 bias here):
"Our latest estimates indicate the 2004 GT3 is worth between a low of $55,664 and $63,289 for a car in good condition. An excellent example should bring $84,725."
At $55K; hell at $63, I'll take two.
As for Kelly Blue Book, that publication is designed to deflate trade in value and inflate retail. When I bought my Volvo 850T5 (off a Ford dealer's used car lot) they tried to justify their price by showing me the KBB. I insisted they sell it to me at KBB WHOLESALE value. Took the sales manager 30 seconds to agree. That should tell you something.
