FS: 1995 993 RS Clone
#31
Not that it means anything....but there are a lot of us that have remorse that this car is leaving the area.
Anyone that knows Jeff knows that he is over-the-top particular about everything he owns. Can't have RS type wheels...no...gotta be the real thing. Can't do after market body kit...no....gotta come from the dealer.
So, the next question is..."Jeff, what's next." Right? Hopefully, all of you out there will badger him incessently until he relents and starts the next project....sooner better than later so we don't have to hear him moaning about his wonderful 993 that he sold......

I'm looking a second track/dd here for in Atlanta. If you could find a 95 993 for about $30k what's the approx cost of these add ons?
Are the wheels expensive? I actually prefer hollow spokes.

Depending on whether you buy the bits new or used ... factory or aftermarket ... you are talking anywhere from $12-17K+ for the parts ... plus installation, alignment, etc.
My car is set up nearly identical to Jeff's but I went with the aftermarket body kit and did without the RS wheels and the Turbo brakes. But I have the Dach X-pipes, RS mounts and a few other nick-nacks. I probably have a few grand less in mine.

OK.. I have just come back from Eurowerks where they are having the PPI done.
I cannot believe this car has 50k miles. It looks like new. The paint is nice and shiny, the interior still has that new leather smell (I guess it's the GT3 seats)....
Fantastic looking car....
Next to it there was an artinc silver RS wanna be.... but this one stole the show...
PS
Harvey just joking....

The difference is that mine is a track car that pretends to be a street car .... Jeff's is a Concours car pretending to be a track car ...
How is your car coming btw? Is it going to be ready by the time you leave or are they going to ship it?

I'll tell you what; all these comments are giving me a nice warm fuzzy about buying this car. All I can say is, I'm sure glad I got such a possitive feel for Jeff on the phone and email. If it were someone else, I'd be very worried about them backing out.

I want to give avidtest/Shannon a big for becoming a Rennlist member prior to ownership.
In all our focus on the fantastic 993, I don't know if anyone said "welcome aboard" yet. (apologies to anyone who did and I missed it).

Thanks for the welcome Dr. No. Glad to be a part of it. I did introduce myself on another thread and did in fact receive some other welcomes as well. Gotta love this site.
Harvey, that'll be great. I'm looking at Parade info now and expect to be involved some how or the other now that I'm aware of it.
