Hello! Newbie No Longer in Violation
Thanks for the kind words and encouragement! I just love this thing! The drive back was exquisite. In fact, I can't wait to take my next rode trip. Miles be damned, these cars were meant to be driven. Strangers walk up and engage you in conversation. Young boys, stare longingly...(I was one of these at one time)
. And women look and smile
The debate about the wheels cracks me up....To "bling" or not to "bling"...
I know she's sitting at Ford Expedition ride height, but have decided to spend the $$ on sorting out any and all mechanical issues first, and then on to mods, and then cosmetics. I agree with a comment I think "rallyjohn" made on another thread for those looking to purchase. It's incisive advice: Keep $$ in reserve above and beyond the purhase price of the car (4k-6k). And to this, I will add my own $.03...KNOW BEFOREHAND what mechanic you will trust to look after her. I started a thread about a week ago about best places to take your 993, so if any other newbies are reading, check it out as they are RL'er recommended shops.
I had both points covered before boarding the plane to Denver, so I can't stress those two points enough. I had the PPI done in CO, by dealer, but as soon as her tires touched CA soil I took her straight to Callas, who found alot more that needed to be corrected. We all know Tony, so this is no surprise. There are still a few nits and nats that need to be sorted out, but she's running like the precision instrument she is. It really feels good to be sharing the insanity. Comforting to know there are others, equally, or even more obsessed than me, when it comes to 911's and 993's in particular.

Great car and welcome aboard. I hope that you will join in on some of the rides and activities here in SoCal, so I can see her in person.
Thanks! But truth be told....I WANT TO SEE YOUR CAR!! I thought you were in NorCal, but see that is not the case. Activities and rides, count me in!

On the last Sunday of each month there is a HUGE car show at the Village Coffee Roaster. Its located just north of the 101 fwy at the Valley Circle/Mulhulland offramp in Calabasas (or is it Woodland Hills?). Get there early for a parking spot (7:00 or 7:30am). Hope to see more Rennlisters there, especially a black C4 with chrome wheels. No comment on the chrome, but I think you may like that gray interior after a bit.
