starting after a while
A friend is interested in a c2 cab that has sat in a garage and not moved for a year. I am going along for the initial assessment.
We will be taking along a strong battery and will try to push the car to free brakes etc....
My question relates to the initial start, I had consideed removing the DME to crank the engine without firing.......however with the ammount of oil in the system, is there any point....would we actually get any pressure up this way?
Cheers

my car sat for 7 months in the shop while going through it's transformation. when it came time to start the car (6 months) it fired right up.
i know all circumstances are different, i just thought i'd share my experience.

Allill, very impressive
On reflection I think that may well be the answer, I have left Boxer engined Porsche for a month or so before and due to the configurtion, some oil seems to seep through the rings, so I shouldn't fear too much for the cylinder bores really.
