Makes total sense now, how I have had three Porsches and each one has a different size receptacle. I believe you're correct, my '98 993 has a size B. They must have changed plug sizes along the 993 model years after hearing reports from earlier year model owners not having this issue. Very helpful post, thanks.
Problem Solved. I have a B plug. V1 sent the shorter/thicker adapter with a single outlet "Item# 20304" and it works great. I decided to try adding the Escort sleeve to it and it's super snug. Thank you for the help.

Glad you got it resolved. The driving experience will be that much better!
Sorry I didn't get a chance to take that pic. I've been pretty busy lately. Glad you got it figured out tho. Did the V1 rep finally disclose that there is another adapter available?
No problem. I got a different person from V1, and yes, this person knew without question what I needed. I called back today thanking them and mentioned it may help to describe the different adapters in more detail on their web site. That would have saved a lot of time for everyone. I am happy not having to push the adapter back in place when I hit a bump each time.

I have had many detectors including Passport and in my opinion the V1 has served me the best. There is one annoying issue with getting a false laser signal from some GM and Infiniti cars. The early detection is excellent. I very much like the arrow indicators that warn you where the bogey is coming from. Once you have tried that option, at least for me, you likely will not go back to anything else. V1 is pricey but worth it. You can also send your detector in for upgrades at a low cost as technology evolves so your V1 does not become obsolete. Hope this helps.

It's V-1 for me!
After dealing with the loose plug for the past two months since I bought my 928, I finally ordered the alternate adapter yesterday... Today while cleaning the garage, I find the box from my old Escort, containing two sleeves.
