Default Option 241: short shifting travel

My car is fitted with option 241 "Short Shifting Travel” What is this? I’ve already done a search, and although I have found the question asked a number of times in various threads, I have yet to find the answer. The only thing I’ve been able to determine is that it isn’t the RS short shift linkage. Does anyone know what differentiates cars fitted with option 241?

Thanks,
John

Same option code, same question and no one seemed to know. Installed the RS shift lever and RS linkage below, never looked back..... Much better

Good to know the RS components are a noticeable improvement. I'd still love to know what makes up option 241 and how it differs from stock though. Kind of weird to stump this community on a question
