A friend gave me a set of new drilled aluminum inside door handles,bought for his 993 tt(just sold) and never installed.I've done the search but can't find
a DIY for just the door levers only.Do you have to remove door panels and
speakers or is it a simple replacement.TIA

I just did this on my 95. Not certain if 95 and 96 are exactly the same, if they are:

- Remove screws that hold the door pocket assembly in place. From memory, I think there are 6 including the one inside the door pocket near the door pull. The other screws are all along the bottom edge of the door pocket and the front and back edges.
- Pop the plastic ball joint off of the inside of the door pull
- Use needle nose pliers to slide the door pull the pivot pin downward
- Install new door pull, reverse the above process.

That's the quick and dirty, no picture version of the DIY.
