Default Looking for 17" Wheels

Any of you 993 guys/gals looking to upgrade your 17"s to 18"?

If so, I'm looking for a good set of 17"s, wheel and tire package. First preference is the Turbo Twist w/ Michelin PS2's. Open to other options as well.

Thanks,

Ken

Turbo Twist 17"s???? I thought they were all 18"s.

Anyway, here is a set of 17" Cup II: https://rennlist.com/forums/for-sale-ads-member-to-member-fs-wtb-free/326554-fs-17-993-cup-2-wheels-w-new-tires.html

I didn't realize that the 993 Turbo Twists 17" were only replicas. I've seen the ones on wheelenhancement.com and the top left 993 Turbo wheel (17" replica) is probably my first choice. Something about the Boxster twist, where the spoke meets the rim edge isn't my preference.

Anyone have experience with the Mille Miglia replicas that wheelenhancement.com uses?

Jeff, thanks for the link on the Cup II's, look like that could be an affordable package also.

Thanks,
Ken

Ken -

I've got a set of virtually new 17" twists (aftermarket) with Kumho 712s on them put on car (NB) by PO. Total mileage on both wheels and tires is < 2K.

I'm going to use a set of MY02 5 spokes instead so the twists have to go. I haven't had time to list them here yet. PM me if you are interested.

Marty

There are some 17" factory ones with 996 #'s. 17x9 55mm offset and 19x7 55mm offset. Ask me how I know. The 18's are hollow spoke.

And what wheels are you getting rid of?

Marty, PM sent.

The Kinesis are a good looking rim, I'll have to keep that in mind.

Sean, is there a 17" 996 Turbo solid spoke? Any pics and did you mean 17x7 55 offset?
I'll be selling a set of 16" C2 5-spokes in near perfect condition, right rear has a 2" section of curb rash. Tires are Firestone Firehawks, rears are near new, fronts need replacing (setup is from PO). I like the look of the rims, just looking for 17" and might as well change the look as well.

Here's a pic of the rims I have currently:

I'm not an expert but I believe the "Turbo" in twists refers to hollow spokes. You can get other twists but they're solid spoke, not hollow (lighter weight).

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please.

Yea, I meant that. It's Monday and I can't type until at least noon on Tuesdays.

The ones in my avatar are what I'm talking about. Hell, they might not even be called "turbo twists" but they are stock 17" twists off a 996.
