Yeah, that car's friggin' awesome. I think you should definitely sell whatever you have to to buy it... and then in a couple years sell it to me (I need some time to save).

I like the statement of owning this car at a fraction of the cost of new. At $52.5K asking, guess the fraction is about 70%...

Do you think he will get his price?

With the lower mileage 993s anymore, he just might get it or more.

There was a non-Aero option 2S with a little more mileage IIRC (same awesome color) last year asking $52K on Craigslist... before I had a chance to think, it was gone.
I'd pay $52K for it.

WOW! That's a beauty!!! If I were you... well, I'm not, but just think about it minus the tea-tray, and with that gorgeous standard C2S spoiler

It sold on ebay last week, something may be wrong? I think it was listed as "black" and the color is far from black when in the light. There are serious lavander undertones. The pic attached is owned by a woman.

verboten, I'm confused. What car are you talking about in the above pic?

You are right. It sold on January 16, 2007, for $49,800 to MetroMotorCars;

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...WDVWQQtcZphoto

Looking at MetroMotorCars eBay history they are using that name to buy cars. They are most likely selling under another name on eBay. They also buy very high end cars; an Auston Martin for $102.000, a Maserati for $85,000 and a BMW for $50,000.

It would be interesting to know why the Porsche sale didn’t happen.

Good question to ask the seller. Hmm.
