"dvl" - got this part influenced by another friend of mine "lyldvlsh1".

Who was I kidding, it's not my "Last Toy". I thougth I would finally close out my lust for sport cars, especially P-cars, with a classic run about 964. Yeh right, now I want a 993 TT. This is too much of a progressive habit.

Since I am 'rick j in nashville' on several other forums, I decided to go with a slight variation when I got my 993 and joined Rennlist. 'rj777' is just my initials plus an indirect reference to Vegas, which I enjoy visiting. For some reason, several folks on Rennlist have asked me if I'm a pilot, which I'm not. I guess 777 refers to a type of plane.
I've always admired the imagination of fellow Rennlister's who seem to come up with some pretty interesting screen names!

Hyphen is my tactical callsign in the Air Force because my last name, Riemens-Van Laare, is very long and has a hyphen in it. No, not from my wife, it is from multiple generations back, Dutch and French. F15 because that is what I fly in the Air Force. So....HyphenF15.

or simply a tribute to the incredible speed of our cars, and that it sometimes feels like they're taking flight?
I'm enjoying finding out the decisions behind your user names, from the obvious to the curious
