I checked the part numbers that Jason listed with MCL in Vancouver this morning, and from what they tell me, stock is still available from Germany. The price however, was enough to bring tears to my eyes: $1965CDN EACH for the fronts, $2227CDN EACH for the rears. I find it funny that the prices are almost double that of what Jason stated. Maybe they were giving the price per pair? I will investigate further next week, I'm leaving for work tomorrow for a few days. 993 pilot thanks for the link, those wheels look amazingly similar. Anyone heard or seen them before. Thanks for the help!
Cheers, Tim

The current MSRP in the USA is $1511.67USD for the fronts and $1713.21USD for the rears, based on the January 2007 pricelist.

The dealer markup can be enormous usually upto 100% on items so call around. The prices I posted were from Sunset Imports (and from well over a year ago).

I checked the availability 2 months ago coz I wanted a new set. Apparently, only the rears MIGHT still be avail; no more fronts. This was through Gert Carnewal... he should know.

AFAIK, only 2 sets of "speedline for PORSCHE" wheels were made for each RS sold. As the demand is high they seem to be gone

What kind of speedlines are on the 993 Supercup cars. Are these basically the same as the polished speedlines from the 993 RS. Are the painted supercup speedlines easier to get then the polished one.

I was looking at FWD's website and it looks like they have most of the parts to build speedline wheels except for the center parts. Where can you find the painted speedline centers.

Thanks

My personal favourite has always been the RH 3.6 wheel (or as we call it in Europe, the RH P-rad). Follow this link and you will find details and prices..Search for Model "P-Rad".. No affil, yada yada..

I know there are a few people here with them and they look stunning! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanx, Tim.

I have been told the cheap way to buy speedlines is buy the cup wheels from Porsche motorsport and have a machine shop drill the holes through for the wheel bolts.

Sorry, I don't have the prt numbers for the cup wheels,,,,Porsche motorsport is different from regular Porsche outlets anyhow,,,,if we had the part number I understand only motorsport supplies such parts.

Offsets should be fine, remember cup cars are narrow bodied too Only difference is front rim is 8.5 " not 8" as on RS, rears are same at 10".

I have seen 993RS fitted with cup rims and no problems of rubbing etc...

Looking at the picture of these, they may well be speedline wheels,,but they are not " as used on 993RS" as described, for a start the ET are all wrong

993RS wheels are Front 8 x 18 with ET 52, Rear 10 x 18-ET 65.

The bolts on the wheel shown appear to be countersunk into the rim, the 993RS bolts, stand proud on the flat part of the rim. No doubt nice wheels, but if spending that ammount of money, you may as well get it right!!!

Basic Economics ... Supply vs. Demand! The Supply is very low.

These are not the real thing... speedline yes but not the RS rims.
