I'm waiting for improved pics from FVD (distributor) to send to Coachtrim.

JPS,

Just came across this thread.....Those Recaros are butchered.... they do not know what the hell they are doing...those seats need to be upholstered by people who have experience doing it!

The good news is...there are two incredible upholstery shops that I know of in New York

1. Is aidesign : www.aidesign.com - they do prefect work, but are not cheap by any stretch of imagination. They are located in Tuckahoe, NY - which is in Westchester (beautiful beautiful driving roads - and have a MetroNorth train nearby that will take you to the "city") - make sure you speak to Matt (the owner) - tell him Alfred recommended you to him

2. The other is AUTOMAT - they are located in Long Island, NY - this is where I would go for a better price...they do many many porsches.... It has been in business for a long time...4 brothers.... they should give you a fixed, discounted price to repair the work

I would not consider sending my seats to anyone other than these two (in this country) ....plus they do mostly recaro seats

ALSO,

Contact Matt Zackarian at Detailing Dynamics : 516-747-4114 for upholstery recommendations.... he is a big porsche detailing guy, and writes for PCA about detailing techniques for porsches.... he should know some people in the business as well. (ALSO, every porsche owner living on long island or NYC should take their car to him AT LEAST ONCE! trust me! He always has interesting Porsches, interesting Porsche owners and dozens of Ferraris etc - make sure you mention my name...I have known him since I was in highschool)
