Default WTB Aerokit 1 spliters

If anyone has a set, please pm me. I'm looking for the ones that are part of the aero kit 1 (or replicas), pictured below on the arena red, not the RS style ones pictured on the guards red car.

Techart also makes them, except in plastic, which is preferred over the MA Shaw fiberglass. Pricey, though.

Smile LOts of possibilities...

MA Shaw, a Rennlist sponsor, Getty Design....Techart may have been the OEM for Porsche. I have the Porsche 993 RS splitters in urethane (Spelling?). They wont crack when popped a bit, and they hold their paint well.

Surprisingly (or maybe not) it might be cheaper to just buy them from a Porsche dealership rather than Techart.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I'm ideally looking for OEM but will settle for anything that matches look, quality and fit. I prefer plastic as my car does sit below ROW height after installing HD/M030 and would like to avoid cracked fiberglass.

John: You have a reply. We might have a deal. BTW, nice twin! I like the MY05 wheels and was thinking about getting them myself before I settled for twists.

I would buy the factory parts (carnewal has them). The replicas are fiberglass and will crack easier if you hit them on something. The factory items are made of a more resilient material that flexes slightly and will sustain a little abuse better than the glass ones.

Hey guys,

I also like the looks of the splitters, and have been considering this upgrade for a while. They seem to add a bit of perceived (or unperceived, lol) width/stance to the front of the car.

Just curious what the consensus is. Do the splitters offer any general handling or stability improvements? I will settle for imperceptible, slight, or minor increases.

How about any airflow or cooling gains?

Thanks.

John,

That is a gorgeous shot of your cab. It looks like it's been lightly 'shopped with the blurring and vignetting. Nicely done.

Thanks Mark. I don't know if I blurred the picture for art or to compensate for the so-so quality of the splitters from HKparts. They look great until you get close. I also used a 4 second shutter speed which further blurred the leaves on the trees.
