Do you have a photo of them installed? Are they visible from the rear of the car as the bypass pipes are?

This is Joe @ Fabspeed Motorsports. The stock 993 OEM catalytic converter weighed 27 lbs. and the Fabspeed Motorsports sports racing German catalytic converters weighed 12lbs. Therefore 15lbs. are removed from the furtherest parts of the car.

The Race cats I designed tuck up just as high or higher than the factory OEM 1 piece catalytic converter. The factory cats are approximtaley 8"/204mm long and are 400cell per square inch (CPSI) while ours are 200 CPSI. I use these same German imported catalytic converter cores for all our 996, 997, GT3 sports race catalytic converters.

If you look at the picture atop this thread you may notice 2 additional pipes that are included in each 993 sport catalytic converter systems. This is a VALUE added deal. If you look closely the ends of the catalytic converters are "slip-jointed" and IF you are going to the RACE track and ClubRacing or Driver's ED you can remove your factory Porsche mufflers (any brand) and slip on the 90 degree bends and then you can aim the exhaust right out the rear of your 993. Therefore with fabspeed motortsports 993 sports race catalytic converters the customer get a "FREE" muffler bypass systems with each of system for the racer or gung-ho 993 owner.

Look pretty sweet, no doubt - how do these compare to the 100-cell sport cats that are also available? Any appreciable difference in sound level and/or performance gain?

We have DYNOs regarding these sport cats coming sometime soon, which will also allow me to get some pictures of these from the rear and beneath the car, installed. That should take a few days though. These cats will be $1,300 for rennlisters and even cheaper if a GROUP BUY of 7-8 can be put together. PM me.
