Thanks everyone. I've found a local supplier that sells the Odyssey batteries, he's just 10 miles away. As son as the docs give me permission to leave the dreaded chair I'll go pick one up.

Well, we had some horrible weather yesterday, and the cover blew clean off the 993.
So I hoisted myself up to my crutches this morning, and carefully hobbled over to the car. There was no storm damage, however the immobilizer light had stopped flashing. I suppose the battery is now well and truly dead.
A friend is coming over later, so I'll ask him to take out the battery. That is IF i can get he car open at all.
