Anybody want cashmere gauges?

The 97 C2 cab I just picked up has the (expensive) factory option for leather gauge surrounds; these are done in cashmere leather. The leather is the outside and inside of the bezel (i.e., under the glass, it does look cool when it's lit up). It's a bit much for my taste, so I will likely have North Hollywood Speedometer change them out for the plain black variety, but if anyone is interested in them, I'd be willing to swap for your gauges plus shipping and whatever North Hollywood Speedometer would charge to set the mileage correctly on the respective odometers, assuming they would do such a thing.

Thanks. Those are the 2002 lightweight 996 Carrera 5-spoke 18" rims ... I love the way they look. Great upgrade, lightweight and very easy to clean. Lots of folks make that change.

It's actually a BBS rim but it's available new only from Porsche dealers and a few aftermarket houses like Wheel Enhancement. People take them off the 996s pretty frequently, but they're very popular and get snapped up quickly.
There are always replicas of these rims on Ebay for about $900 for the set, but I don't know what the quality is like.
List price is something like $3850 with tires, but I've found new sets with tires from Porsche dealers for as little as $1850, but it's kind of like hitting the lottery when you do; I got a set from Brandywine Porsche a couple of years ago. Watch ebay and rennlist like a hawk and you might get lucky.

"do you have a pic? i have cashmere interior, and i might be interested. TIA"
Not the actual ones, and not even a very good picture, but hopefully enough to get an idea...

Vic,
Any thoughts as to how much work it would take to swap these out? Is it a DIY job or something I'd need to have done with the dudes in the shop? How many miles on your odo?

The gauges are easily removable by hand; once the first is out, the rest come easily (you can push from behind). 58k miles on my odo.
Will try and get a pic, my camera battery is DOA. But they look just like the ones in Jeff's car.
