Porsche Owners Club (POC), a driving club, is thinking about having a Technical Session on Saturday, January 13th, to discuss what it takes to get into the POC Solo Sprint (Time Trial) series. Car and driver preparation is the theme, about 3 hours long, conducted at WERKS II in Burbank, CA, in the AM.
I am concerned that January 13th is only about 2 weeks away...what kind of turnout could we expect? If we could get 20 folks, that would be incredible...we'll do it. Feedback please!
For those that are interested, I'll e-mail them an outline of the presentation. Also note that WERKS II has a comprehensive inventory of safety gear, from seats, to belts, helmets and gloves, driving shoes and HANS.
Participation in the Solo Sprint series assumes that the driver has gone through the POC Short Track Series (STS) and has earned a STS license, or has other verifiable high speed track experience. The STS license requires three (3) one (1) day track sessions at Streets of Willow as well as one (1) POC classroom day at the Streets.
Note, POC is having the one (1) day school January 27th and a one (1) day event on January 28th...a driver starting then would be 1/2 way to completion of their STS License.
Also note, for those qualified with their cars prepared, there is a high speed Solo Sprint event on February 2 - 4, Friday (practice), Saturday and Sunday. Be there or be square!

I just joined POC and plan to start the STS series in Jan. I would love to attend. But Burbank is a bit too far for a drive from SD.
An OC location would probably be best since it would benefit SD, OC and LA.
