Default 993 Spitfire Racecar FS

Our shop race car is for sale. Even shops fall down the slope!

- started life as a 98 Carrera S w/ 57K miles
- 59K miles (2K race) original odo in place.
- 300+bhp to the ground (dyno tuned Varioram ecu & injection)
- Porsche Motorsports Supercup cams & SS twin center exit headers/exhaust
- Rothsport (zero hours) 6sp close ratio w/ Tilton oil cooler system & guard LSD
- Moton Clubsports, StopTech brakes, Pagid pads/ducting, BBS 3p Center knock
- RSR sways/uprights/roof (SRD) & oil coolers (dual), Motorsport camber plates
- Evo II carbon fiber nose/hood/fenders
- Full 1.5" roll cage, wired for radios, SPA fire system, cobra full race seat
- Lexan glass, Fuel Safe 100 liter fuel cell with dry brake

Ran in the 2005 24h @ Thunder Hill driven by Randy Pobst & Craig Stanton
- Qualified 1st in class
- Set fastest lap in class
- Running 1st at 21h mark 22min ahead of 2nd (even with 15 min of penalties for pit lane infractions!).

This car is an absolute monster and is ready to race (and lay a beat down) right now. Over $125K in the car. For Sale @ $70K PM serious inquiries only. Seeking Rennlist interest first. Not formally advertised until next week.

Interesting. I thought it was the P-51 Mustangs that had that front paint scheme. Also, what's going on with the steering wheel cover? Looks like Penelope Pitstop just finished with it.

I think it was the Curtiss P-40's that had that paint scheme..????..

I could be wrong, though...!!

I should have expected such attention to detail from the Rennlisters! Technically, the paint scheme is derived from the A-10 Warthog and the P40/51 Mustang (good catch). The "Spitfire" seems to fit as clearly it's no mustang and/or Warthog? I'm sure the new owner will proceed with a moniker all their own.

As for Penelope Pitstop (I like that btw...) it's just a protective cover for shop jockeying. Just for fun, we brought the car to the last PCA Auto X. We took 2nd overall by less than a second to a nicely prepped 996 GT2.

Good questions....The car is certified to run in both NASA ES and POC R3 class. I'll find out about PCA and SCCA and respond as soon as I'm able to confirm.
