I took the plunge and painted my brake calipers; kept them black (original color is fine with me) and used a brush-on paint kit. Came out pretty well (most viewing will be at track speeds; this is not concours
).
I have applied the suitable PORSCHE decals to the caliper, and now need to clearcoat paint on top of the decals.
Question is - the only high temp clearcoat I can find is an engine paint 'suitable to 500 degres (farenheit for you wise guys).
Will this be high enough? I am not too hard on the brakes, but this is for a track car, after all.
Brakes are stock calipers, Pagid Black pads. Not racing, 'just' DE but I am in Red run group.
Thanks

You should be fine. In fact clearcoat really isnt required. I was going to clearcoat and decided to just leave the paint on there as is. Stickers are still in great shape after a year of use.
