I think it was you (or another rennlister) who cautioned me when I posted 5 years ago that I had a full asking price offer to sell my car to someone in a foreign country. It happened just like you said it would and the check was a fraud. I even talked to the FBI and their only chance of getting the guy was trying to get him to the US...
Western Union is the method of choice because (apparently) charges can not be reversed.

Anyone out of of the Continental US should always pay Western Union. It's the safest way to get your money. The only other way is sending secured cash. It comes in a plastic sealed envelope that you sign for with proof of ID. Chris
