Default added bumper plugs

Guys and gals,

I recieved my plugs from eric today (great service), however the 2 bumper plugs and especially the door lock plugs do not fit very snug, there is a little too much play....how did all of your fit in?

TIA,
sam

My bumper plugs were a little loose "out of the box"... I wrapped some plumbers tape on the stems and now they fit very well..... I did'nt purchase door lock plugs....

Trim adhesive from any auto store, works well. Chris

I guess my holes are oversize or something. I tried them but they just fall out.

'Course what I really should do is fill the holes and have the bumper resprayed. The plugs aren't nearly as subtle looking as I thought they'd be.

The plugs themselves are not manufactured to fit the holes of a 993 bumper - they're just plastic plugs that you can find in an auto parts store. Obviously buying them with the correct paint already applied is a good thing

Mine were loose as well, so I wrapped a bit of electrical tape around the 'fins' and snugged the plugs into the holes. They have remained in place just fine.

Yea - your holes must be a little big. Mine fit "Very Snug"

That is what I did, too.

I also added a bit of friction tape with the bumper plugs because my holes were square and the plugs are round, but I had no problem with the door lock plugs, they went right in and are snug as a bug in a rug.

Anything to do about the door plugs being lose?

Also, dont u find these little plugs a little over priced. Not a lot of $, but over priced, none the less?

I would describe them as "expensive, but worth it." A Rennlist sponsor and very good customer service in my experience, too. If you have a real problem with the door key plug, maybe you should just email Bumperplugs about it.

Not in the big scheme of things, but I'm sure they're turning a profit.....ZP44

Eric is the bomb IMO. Excellent customer service as others have mentioned. I just had paint crack on one of my plugs due to a rock chip and Eric replaced the set free of charge. Now that's service!

I'm willing to pay a bit more for the piece of mind that he backs his products. thanks eric!
