Not sure how to tell. I guess the washer would give it a way?

Well, the stealer didn't gt my new pulley in on time , so I went ahead and replaced the belts this morning. I can replace the pulley when it comes in, the hardest part about this job is dinking with the A/C compressor anyway and I don't need to monkey with it if I'm not taking the belts off.
It was 40 degrees outside and sunny, and the job took about 2 hours. I got the 10mm triple square at Napa on Friday, it worked fine. Nice to have new belts on there.

The new pulleys are installed. I did need them. I had to add a spacer-washer. So anybody else who plans to do this: be sure to have extra washers on hand.
Amazing how much satisfaction I derive from correcting something that is so small in the larger scheme of things.

Just replaced my belt sensor. It took about 10 minutes. The old one's bearing was so grunchy I'm surprised it hadn't melted. The engine is quieter now too!
