flash by. Way Cool! Also the drivers list in the closing credits is
loaded with many of the best in motorsports history. Impressive.

My itch started when I saw Peter Gregg and Hurley Heywood win the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1972 in one of those Fly Yellow Carreras they drove in the beginning of the IMSA era. The cars were so new, they didn't have time to put decals on them. I went out that Sunday after the race, bought a Tampa Tribune, found a 1962 356 S90 in the classifieds and bought it the next day.

My Porsche interest began in 1965 when my family took a month long car trip across the country. While on the west coast visiting friends of my parents, one of their sons gave my brother and me a high-speed ride in a then new 356SC. Pacific Palisades area, very curvy roads, I was extremely impressed. Went home and bought a used 1957 356A Speedster for a thousand bucks. That started it.

When I was 11 and saved up to buy a Schuco model 911R which had interchangeable wheels, a two-tone horn and went forwards or backwards. I still have it, awaiting repairs after the roof melted a bit whilst I was trying to speed up one of it's many resprays using a desk lamp!
