Had a set of B&B mufflers on my 968. Piece of crap that I junked in the trash bin after so many bad weld cracks. I had bought them second hand and back then ( 1997-1998) B&B did not want to deal with me... I guess i got a bad deal, it was the only aftermarket exhaust for the 968 then, but I would never put my money on that company again...

I had GHLs on my C2S and didn't think they were loud enough! But I don't want toooooo loud, like a Fabspeed SuperWhatever. Something in between would be perfect. Hope to here about the Tubi soon.
Cheers,
Robert

I think you would be happy with RSRs.

Switching the discussion back to the RUFs...yeah, they are switchable. I was wanting those or sense they cost so much I wanted to make my own. I simply went with the LPMMs as I think they are the same as RUFs on full loud. I say I think as I have not heard the RUFs but they bypass at the same place as the LPMMs.
I couldn't be happier with the LPMMs. If I bought the RUFs I would end up running them loud all the time and would have wasted my money.

As mentioned in an earlier thread, I have the Tubi installed--they're not bad. The exhaust is relatively loud (which I particularly like). Unfortunately, this comes at the price of a little resonance b/w 2400-2900 rpm. When under load, it has some typical characteristics of the classic Italian Tubi sound (more of a whine) but the note is predominately a low gargle. it sounds very impressive at idle. All in all, a great exhaust system--a bit on the pricey side but somewhat exclusive. It's not quite as much of a 'no-brainer' as the Tubi on Ferrari's however. I also have pre and post dyno--lost 2 hp and I'm sure that's insignificant (would have been nice to have a little increase though). Feel free to PM or call w/ more specific questions, and I'll do my best to describe! Sound clip will be at least another week or two from now.

No sound clips, but on my previous Targa I tried RSRs (resonated for me at around 3k and so I sold them at a big loss), Rooks (were too subdued but also had a mild resonance) and I settled on Rufs. The Rufs were great. Absolutely no resonance in my install. They were switchable at low throttle inputs, or better at rest, and they sounded magnificent. Considerably louder than RSRs. They made a beautiful throaty baratone sound. But they were hideously expensive. For Project Orange, I am going for 100 cell cats which will give me a real performance increase, and not just the subjective increase that a louder muffler gives. I am yet to sample the sound.
