Default Modifying Stock Sway Bars

Anyone drilled an additional hole in the stock swaybar to increase stiffness? Kinda like the adjustable ones.

Default Yup....

Easy to do and plenty of room on a 993TT Euro 21mm rear bar. This was a trick I learned at ANDIAL from Pete!

This would work on a narrow body/ormal suspension?

How far away do you drill and what drill it do you use?

Drill forward of the factory hole, same size, as far forward as you can, before the bar goes tubular. When you mount in this position, the bar will be "shorter" which equals stiffer. The math behind exactly how much stiffer is way over my head. And in the final analysis, you probably don't need the extra hole in the first place.

You'll also have to grind or 'extend' the flat section where the drop link fastens to the bar to allow a parallel surface for proper fastening. Easily done with a drum sander in a Dremel tool.
