Now this is a frog-eye

(and the slowest sports car ever made)

(and the only sports car engine that doesn't require a hoist)

I kinda get the frog thing but not really. 993s remind me of curvaceous women. Yours looks hot in red.

I wouldn't use the frog/ toad potential plate. I think they connotate ugliness (I had to kiss alot of toads before I found my prince or... you ugly frog-face) instead of beauty. The 993 is all about beauty. I'd go with RED 993 like someone else said, or an aircooled type of word. I knew a lady that had POOR SHE in california for her 88 Turbo.

Here's mine. I had no pick in the process as it was just issued to me as the next # that came up. Teenagers walk up to my car sometimes as I'm exiting and say "Cool, 420 dude... you a pot smoker"? I guess 420 is the # for marijuana. I'm getting old .

Cheers,
Steve R

420 (cannabis culture)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

A Cannabis sativa plantFor some people within cannabis culture, the number 420 (pronounced four-twenty) relates to the consumption of cannabis as a drug, and elements of its associated culture. The exact origin of the term is unknown. Cannabis users gather on April 20 ("4/20" in U.S. dating shorthand) every year to celebrate and consume marijuana. 4:20p.m. (or even a.m.) is also a popular time to consume cannabis.[1]

Not sure I get the toad thing either. Turtle seems to be a more adorned phrase around here. So I'd vote for QIK TRTL or something of the like.

A Bug Eye Sprite is a "Frog". I'm all for the OMG-WTF from Endless Earth! My best plate was on a black 911SC (all black incl wheels, tinted windows all around) D VADER. The whole plate thing is a personal thing. That's why they call them personalized plates. 993's don't look like Frogs or Toads, either.

I don't like any of the ones listed either. I just don't see the connection between frog and 993???? Maybe a beauty and the ugly? I think c993k had a good one.
Here is my 2 cents worth... Red Frog in German translated to "roter Frosch" if you're really into frog thing!? (that's why its called persoanaliize plate after all) How about say, "RFROSH" or something like that.

Guards red in german p catalogs is called indian red.
I am sure you could easily find an indian name really slim.
If I had a choice for my car, first thing that came to mind is PEWARE or PWARE, whatever
Were you insinuating the toad in thaddeus? I hope not

I am very fond of frogs and toads. I am fond of the car. It fits!
Then why is your avatar a penguin? Did he eat a frog?

I'm also having this license plate dilemma at the moment, and I haven't even got my 993 yet! I'm just trying to secure the plates. Ideas so far...

PHLAT 6
PHLAT SIX (flat 6 & flat six are already taken)
NEINNEIN3

Any thoughts or suggestions welcome!

I tried to get "RED 993" here in Ohio, but it was taken (bummer). So, I settled on my initials: "PW 993". [Pic for avatar was taken before I got my plates.] It's personal to me and personal to the car.

BTW, If "RED 993" is taken in your state, try "ROT 993". "ROT" is German for "RED" - or so I've been told.

I totally understand the 'frog' thing and consider it a term of endearment; however, I wouldn't want it on my license plate.

Or you could do as the Romans: XMIII.

I'm hunting for a Speed Yellow 993, so that rules that out. No offence intended James, but I dont see the 993-frog connection....

Staying with the German thing, how about "GELB 993". (look it up!)

I ended up getting AIR KOOL here in Florida.

I may be having some buyer remorse because I keep getting an urge to sell and buy a GT3!

OMG, I've said too much!

But I can't help it. The 993 looks like a supermodel wearing a thong. The GT3 looks more like the girl next door, but the sex is so good you just don't care about the slightly flat butt and pudgy waist.
