Default Back to "new"

Just had some work done, and the car's back to feeling wonderful again.

New rear shocks, rear rotors, pads, parking brake shoes, alignment and new alternator.

Had to drop another 3.5k into the car, but boy, what a difference those new shocks made.

Did you just change out the rear shocks and not the fronts? Why?

I think they were Bilsteins but not sure.

Only rears were changed as the fronts were not leaking, and honestly $3.5k was enough for right now

I'm not trying to be offensive, but $3,500 for those repairs seems steep. Too bad you weren't up for the DIY on the rotors and pads.

But, glad it worked out for you.

I'd verify what shocks you have front and rear. Having different shocks will affect handling, and not in a good way. My car came that way and handled like crap when I first bought it.

Exactly my thoughts. Just because a shock is not leaking doesn't mean it is still good. With the cost of the alignment it wouldn't have been that much more to do the fronts at the same time.
