How to remove the plastic carpet sill strip?

This thing has me confounded. I got one off, but shattered most of the areas where the strip is held by the 5 plastic rivets. Can this thing be removed without destroying it?
Here's what I'm referring to - not the stainless steel door sill, but the plastic carpet trip strip.

It just pulls up and is attached with clips. Use a wide bladed screw driver and gently pry up the whole length of the strip. Don't pull up too hard these are plastic and will break

Hey Eric,
Be careful when pulling...there are 2 versions to this strip. Some pop right up (like mine) and some slide on a groove forward and then you can remove. If you have the later and pull up, you'll break the tabs.
