Just picked up the issue, looks like the magazine has a new look. Haven't had a chance to read the articles yet..

Bruce...that is the coolest... I am beyond jealous. There is only ONE thing I love more than Porsches, and that's jammin'...I can talk about cars for hours....but I can talk about guitars for days!!

Wow!!! That's a beauty! Exactly what I meant by icon. I'd love to hear the sound of that baby.

As far as the color, I would guess that it is Midnight Blue. It can look anywhere from purple to black depending upon the lighting and viewing angle.
[QUOTE=BrokenE]Do all midnight blue, iris blue, xx blue 993s also have a blue over gray interior? QUOTE]
Short answer... NO ! Mine has the Cashmere interior.

Thanks Jeff,
I haven't seen a car with blue over xx color interior in person, but in some pictures the blue plastic doesn't look so good to me. Maybe in person, though, it might look a lot better.
If you get a chance, would you please snap a few pics of your car, including interior? Thanks again.

On second look, the C4S you asked about looks to be some shade of purple. However, the C2 pictured with it on Pg. 78 looks like it could be Midnight Blue. Both are just a guess though!

Hi Guys,
Greeting from Singapore, I own a 993 C2 & a Martin HD28, I love both the car & the guitar !!
Have you heard of this guitarist "Tommy Emmanuel", he performed here in Singapore 2 weeks ago & I enjoyed his playing very much (His playing is just out of this world !!)

turbo138, i've got one of his cd's. Also read on article on the guy, he is very talented. Not my type of music, because to me, he seems to get way too much into the technical aspect of playing instead of what i call communicating emotion. Can't think of a better way to describe it but l would say for instance that Stevie Ray Vaughn has plenty of it. Different style of music, different type of guitar, but i think you should get what i mean. Nice car...

Sorry to have helped push this topic so far off base but it has made me want to
start getting into more photography of my car and guitars together. Somehow they seem like a great mix. I've told this story before but once while searcing for old guitars in Pennsylvania, I found a backyard stash of old Porsches. One was an early 911 race car in full race trim, the only sponsor was Martin Guitar, logo covering the car very nicely.
RE: Tommy Emmanuel, watch this clip and tell me it's not the ideal mix of
emotion and technique. Seems to me that way...

turbo138 and Bruce,
I apologize, I was thinking of Earl Klugh. I found his playing a little technical heavy on the music i listened to, but again, different strokes for different folks. I do like Tommy Emmanuel's style in angelina, and of course he is an excellent player. You're right Bruce, emotion does come through, jam on...
Alfonso.

I didn't realize there were so many guitar players here...so I will continue the hijack!
Here are my axes:
- '95 American Strat sunburst w/rosewood board (best of 3 Strats I've had)
- '79 B.C. Rich Mockingbird birds-eye maple (back when they were handmade, bought in jr. high school, love the neck & outrageous look)
- early '90s Charvel Charvette, black (my old gig guitar, has a nice fast neck)
- Martin D-16GT
- Amplification: '78 or '79 Mesa Boogie MkII combo (also bought in jr. high) w/Marshall cab, also a '65 Fender Showman head
Cars & guitars are a match, right? They're both usually shiny and make cool noises...

I own a guitar, but I can play the damn thing! I had all these great intentions of learning how to play it, but it never quite happened. However, I admire those who can play... does that count for anything?
