Has anyone heard of Spheretech before?
I was reading a French P-car magazine (RS Magazine) last week and there was a full page add about a new engine oil (white in color, just like milk!) developed by Spheretech. It caught my attention because it has been designed for highly stressed engines (high RPM, high compression ratio, high temperature) to ensure less metal to metal friction (meaning less wear) and instantaneous lubrication on cold start.
On top, it is apparently meeting specifications of several European car manufacturer (including Porsche, MB, BMW, VW...).
More reading (in French though):

Has anyone on this board tried it?

I can read French
It sounds almost too good to be true. The catch seems to be in the price; the sales slogan is that "it is the most expensive in the world... just because it is the best in the world"
I wonder how much one liter would cost?

But you never know, it could be a great product. No surprise that the product is white, the favorite color of the French
The patent and trademark was deposited in 2003. The initial oil brand is called Keramic, developed by two engineers who worked for EADS or the HQ of Airbus.
You can find the product in Keramic labeled gallons.
The price is 85 euros for 5 litres and the results are real (according to BMW longlife, Merc. and porsche tests).
This oil is certified porsche since April 2006. But still not sold everywhere.
Irony is that Spheretech lab has developed several additives sold mostly in the UK under liscence,
and the distributors made a fortune. While spheretec is still generally unknown.
I will try it if I find some.

I knew that we would get some input from our permanent French correspondent. Just interested to find out if somebody tried the product and what he/she thought about it.
