Do you get "profiled" when in your Porsche?

he stopped motioning and turned away so as not to look me in the eye as I passed
Once on a road rally (open roads, legal speeds) a guy came out of his house and stood in the road holding a shotgun. Many people have the mistaken impression that the road they happen to live on is "their" road.
For the cost of your Lexus you could have your own!

I actually found that speeding in a Porsche sometimes work to your benefits.
Occasion #1: I was caught by CHP doing 105mph on 280. I was very respectful, put both hands on top of steering when he approached, and did not make any lame excuse, just said I'm sorry. He said he admired my car, and understand that may be it doesn't feel as fast in such a car. And he wrote me a ticket for 79mph so that I can get away with taking online traffic school with no points deducted.
Occassion #2: My friends were racing each other in two Porsches and were caught may be going 20mph over on local streets. Again, the cop stopped them, commented on the how nice the cars are, gave them stern warning and let them go.

I was pulling out of my neighborhood onto a two lane street that is also residential. I started to take my right turn, accelerated normally (slowly, car was cold) and was about to shift into second (below 4000 rpm) and a gentleman walking his dog and talking on his cell phone yelled at me to 'slow down.' I immediately pulled over to the curb and got out of my car because I thought this was so ludicrous. I intentionally got out of my car slowly so as not to appear threatening. The guy was about 50 and I'm older than that. I'm 6'4" and in good shape. The guy immediately picked up his little dog and held it out in front of him. ? I told him I just wanted to talk to him because I heard him yell at me and I just wanted to know how it was possible he thought I was going too fast. He stuttered and said "your car is so loud I couldn't hear what my wife was saying on the other end of the phone." I was kind of amused and just looked at him. He then said he was sorry, he probably over reacted, he didn't like loud cars, etc. I told him I could understand and assured him that I was very cautious in my neighborhood, was aware of my car's sound and tried to 'keep it down' until I was on the open road. He was very uncomfortable and began to ramble, asked me what kind of car it was, etc. I shook his hand, told him to have a nice day and left.
When I was younger, I may have had words with the guy and ended up leaving upset. I left this experience with a sense of peace and amusement.

I got popped again a few weeks ago, and although the nice police officer expressed polite admiration toward my vehicle, he declined my equally polite suggestion to waive the ticket.
As far as profiling goes, I have the neighbors befuddled, as I jump back and forth between driving the 993 and my dented, scratched, cracked windshield, unwashed F150. Once on the highway, I can drive much, much faster in the truck and not get picked off.
