I was looking at buying this 993 in Phoenix in early spring but wasn't able to buy it. Does anyone recognize it. the dealer said it went out east to a buyer, sight unseen. I liked the car but never got to run a PPI since I ended up in a coma for a couple months...then my priorities changed for a while.

It was on Autotrader.com for a while. I found it on line while I was in the hospital in January. I was trying to organize a PPI for it from the hospital room when my health went south. Next thing I knew I woke up and it was mid march and it was sold. I was curious since the dealer was passing it off as an awesome car....but it leaked "cause all Porsches leak." It had high miles and was going for $29.5K. I was hoping someone wouild be able to tell me if it was a deal or not. Basically a shot in the dark.

It was a self-(well doctor-induced) coma. I had complications to chemo therapy (for Leukemia) and all of my organs failed. Before it all went bad I told my wife that if I made it through I was going to buy a Porsche and she said ok. So I sat in the hospital room looking at cars all day online. When my lungs filled up I was put under so that I wouldn't feel any pain and they gave me Propoval (sp?) which in an amnesia drug. When I woke up in March I thought it was 2008 and my wife left me and I lost the house and everything. But luckily none of that happened, I lost 6olbs and had to learn how to walk, eat, talk etc. It wasn't fun. My wife said that when I was coming out of the coma I would get really ticked off and give everyone the finger because I couldn't get them to understand what I was saying. For a while I had one of the tubes down my throat for the ventilator but then I pulled it out twice so that I could talk to people. I would forget that it was what was keeping me alive. They ended up putting in a trach tube. then I couldn't say anything. I'd throw pens (albeit, my wrists were the only things I could control so my throw wasn't too accurate) or if I could get my hand on my wife I'd try to pinch her because she told me that she'd pull the plug if I was going to end up on machines (which I thought happened). I ended up in and out of the hospital up until June and now I'm pretty much back to normal. My wife gives me grief over looking at these forums and writing in them when I should be telling the Leukemia forums of what happened to me and how people can get through it. I've mentioned it alot in here but outside of this place I try to forget what happened. Just to put things into perspective, I'm 35.
Oh and one other thing. If you're ever in the ICU visiting someone and they are in a coma. They can hear you. Trust me.
Back to the car, I ran into the dealer who had that car for sale on a plane from LA about a month ago. That's how I found out about it being sold. He was telling me how my new car sucked and 993's were awesome. Which in this particular forum would most like be agreed to... I like both types and just ended up with the water pumper.
As for the Camaro Rims. I wouldn't doubt it. I still liked the car, but ended up with a 996.
