Wanted: Stock 993 RS
#16
I knew of one real 993RS (not Clubsport) that was registered as a road car back east. Originally imported by Steve Patti in Dallas who runs that "RS" business at:

IMO.
Real RS's are now hard to find. Last year, there were 15-20 at mobile.de. Mix was about half & half between RSCS/Cup and RS Touring.
Now there are few if any RS Touring avail. Think they have reached colector status.
Good for me... not so good for you. Good luck.

I think you can import an RS into the US under the show and display clause. You're limited to 2500 miles a year (I assume that's road miles; track miles are unlimited?). See http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/...osd072003.html and http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/...t06202005.html

Monique, with respect to numbers.....we have gone over this before....approx 300 cup cars over the 3 years made....no seperate chassis numbers for lightweight & CS as there were with 964 variants...There were approx 1100 RS made included in this number are CS, which account for approx 10%.

Yes it is the red one. There is also a red RSCS as well. You can tell the differnce by the interior (or lack of).
If you are interested in a RSCS, I think that one might be for sale. If you are, I can get you his information as he is a POC guy and in the Porsche business.

No disagreement there. There were 1014 RS Touring built and 107 RSCS... our numbers do match.
As for the Cup cars, your info is likely correct.
Cheers
