does anyone know what the option code was for LITRONICS? My car has lots of options. Some I've figured out (from Adrian Streather's book) but a couple I havn't.

should I just go aftermarket and keep the originals?
When you purchase the HID kit it does not come with new headlights, but with the ballast, ignitor, wires, and bulb. You can then fit it directly into your current lights. With mine, all I would need to do is remove the kit and replace the back panel of the headlight as I had to drill a 1" hole to fit the kit.

Enjoy,

Litronics were not standard on the Turbo or any other model
are you sure about that? i thought that they were standard on the TT (and i got that from one of the most well respected sources here on RL).

Try here (which I think is OEM):

Also here (not OEM, but recommended by some Pistonheaders):

When you say keep the originals, all you'll be keeping is the bulbs as everything else will be used with the after market kit, ..I've just seen Skip mentioned this earlier.

I'm pretty sure they were standard on RoW TTs but not on UK ones.

You can get factory Litronics for quite a bit cheaper than what geolab has indicated. Try www.departstop.com and ask for Dayton.

Litronics were standard on the European LHD Turbo's that I have seen, but not on the UK RHD models for some reason.

Doing a search,I ended-up on this,

Instead of opening a new trd,It's better to finish this(for the posterity)

and I'm still not sure if the difference is about the possibility to control the levelling of the headlight.

Any help, because it seems that some litronic had the level control on the lh side of the steering wheel, other ,like mine hadn't….

Thanks
