A '79 would be Gillet. Also, the connection to the cat is round vs oval for the Bischoff.

better late than never.
sorry for the delay.
I found-out I had quite strange mufflers
they wheighted the same 5.4kgs as RSR,but aren't M159's.
the sound is quite similar....
993.111.045/046.05
I'm still searching the ultimate 993 sound perfection,but I'm almost there!

I have the bigger chrome tips and the modified airbox on my 993 and a pretty mean exhaust sound.... So my suspicion has always been that I also have different mufflers. I just tried to look up the numbers on the mufflers to double check, but can not find them. Are they visible without removal? If yes, where to look?

they are stamped on each side of the mufflers,perfectly readable when installed,
just look on each outer part of them,from the lateral part of the bumper
