This car looks incredible. I suspect that the asking price is a reach and will definitely test the market.
Personally, I am in the market for one but prices for many are lower. At $48K, it would move quickly. At $58K finding the right buyer will take some time.
Good luck with the sale.

I suspect the car is having a hard time selling as winter is around the corner. This is substantiated by the fact that there was LOTS of interest when the ad was first posted, and now we only get a few emails a week.
Ive never owned nor valued Porsches, but based upon other FS ads of cars in similar condition with similar miles, the price should be about inline with market value for such a low mile, pristine car.
Luckily, Mark isnt in a huge rush to sell the car, and therefore we can wait until the right buyer comes along whenever that may be...

It's a sweet car, the perfect mileage, but I don't think it would sell at $58k, no way, no how. Just don't think it's possible. Yeah, maybe some other car sold on Ebay for near that price, but I can't fathom it.
It's just a feeling, call it "a little birdie told me" or 993 intuition. Glad he is in no rush. I don't think he's going to get anywhere close to $58k. I think $49k-$51k would be the correct range.
Either way, it's an incredible car and someone's gonna be posting lots of happy pics of it here after buying it.

Not to be an *** guys, but the price is what it is, if you have no intention of buying the car or arent even feigning interest, then why crap up the thread by throwing in your "expert opinion" or "birdie thoughts"...
I can totally understand your desire to give me advice, but this is a FS thread, not a thread in which I asked what you guys thought the car should sell for.
Thanks for the bumps.

Posting it in the forum will always garner attention--some attention you might not like.
Bump.

I guess you guys are right, that because this isnt the ad I placed in the FS section, it is fair that it is discussed.
For what its worth, in this week's AutoWeek there are (4) 993 C4S models for sale:
-1996 C4S Red/Tan....$48,500...68k miles (thats nearly 50k more miles)
-1996 C4S Blue/Grey....$59,500...23,700 miles: http://www.rpmsportscars.com/door20.htm
-1997 C4S Arctic/Black...$59,500...27,300 miles: http://www.rpmsportscars.com/door34.htm
-1998 C4S Arctic/Red...$69,500....13,700 miles: http://www.rpmsportscars.com/door21.htm
Granted none of these are the exact car for sale in this thread, but none are as well/tastefully modified, and all but one have accumulated more miles, yet are more expensive.
Oh, and a BUMP

If I had the money, there is no doubt I would buy this car. Something about it (partially the euro bumper and tail upgrades) and the way it drives would make this an absolute must for me, if only I had the funds.

good for you. but please understand that "euro bumpers" are a pretty easy fix. as in they don't cost that much to reproduce.
I am sure you think 58k is a fair price for a low mile car, but ........well anyway, you know much better than I........good luck with the sale.
