Smile Pictures of L bracket on TechArt fog lights

Hi Everyone,

Bit of a limited appeal post but here goes. I've attached a few pictures of my rusty old TechArt fog lights to show the L shaped metal strip (very high tech) that TechArt use to fit these converted Golf/Jetta fog lights. Apparently the Hong Kong rip-off copies do not have this. Hope this helps. I promised to give these to Asim but I thought a few others may find them useful.

Cheers,

David

Your pic also shows the piece that Techart glues on for holding the positioning bulb. I'm sure the asian knock-offs don't have that part either. One of these days I need to make up an L-bracket like in your pic. Mine are currently just held in place by the bumperettes, which seems to work ok.

David -

How incredibly timely. I'm working on fitting those fog lights and the air ducts right now. Well not exactly right now, but at night after the kids are in bed. So far I have ground down the rear of the air inlets so they fit, modified the interface between the light and the duct and was just getting to the bracket. I bought a piece of galvanized metal from Home Depot and was going to get out the aviation shears tonight. Thanks!

As a VW enthusiast, one who has witnessed VW owners installing Porsche items on their cars, I find that very funny.

Hi Guys,

I have one of the lights and it says 1NL 007 220-04 on the Hella label. The shop that sold it listed it as being for a Golf Mkiii 92-98.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

David
