I have a dedicated set of front and rear brake pads that were brand new before this spring's DE. I just put them on my car in preparation for the fall Carrera Classic @ Gateway International Raceway. Do I need to bed them in again or do you think the 45 minute drive to the track will be sufficient?

Its always a good idea to go out and get 'em hot with a few 60 to 20mph stops. Its good rotor maintenance.

I always re bed pads when I switched them (now I just use track pads all the time) although couple of times I didn't "properly" re-bed them, I just bedded them by driving around the neighbohood & getting heat to them and then without braking, parked the car for over night and had no problems.
What pads do you have?
If Pagids, they are the most delicate on bedding and I'd re bed them. If i.e. PF pads, I'd be comfortable with type of just bedding I explained above.

It's always recommended to bed track & race brake pads in on the track. You should always bed race or track brake pads in with used rotors and new rotors with used brake pads. Never bed in track & race pads with both being new. You should also re-bed track & race brake pads one they have been used on the street or used in wet conditions like rain.
