Default Seems like a nice 993 but...

Hello. First post. I have been lurking here while I do research and look around for a nice 993 cab to purchase. I had found this one on EBAY - local to me - that seemed nice 1996 993 cab on EBay But I just ran the VIN through CarFax and it has a salvage title.

Just passing this information on in case someone else on the forum was considering bidding it. I don't know you and you do not know me but I have learned a lot here and I do not want anyone to get a lemon.

If anyone on the board can give me a lead toward a nice 993 cab for (private) sale in the northeastern US that would be great.

Regards,

Grant

Not to mention the seller is representing it as having a clear title. Possible lawsuit for the buyer when he finds out it isn't?

Default Always a reason

when you think you found a deal......Clear Title normally means lien free.....may or may not refer to "salvage" under RI law, but good "catch" in any event

Also appears that someone needs to hold the engine lid up by the basket handle.

I sent the seller an email and he ended the auction to check on it, claims he did not know. Which may be the truth......or not....

I've never sold a car on eBay, but from all the ads I've seen on there, that section has either had clear, salvage, no title, or unknown. I assumed it was not referring to any lien status. But, as always, I could be wrong.
