Hi Guys,
I have a weird noise coming from my car! It is a RHD/euro 993, and the noise is kind of like water passing through a pipe, it is audible from in the car, whilst stationary, and outside it seems to be coming from the oil pipes that go to the cooler in the front wing/fender? They run up from the bottom of the car to the top of the front wing then to the cooler. If you place your ear near the front wheel arch you can hear it and it's pretty loud. Louder the nearer you get towards the drivers door. Is there a valve or something near there?
It definately isn't aircon related as that is all working fine, after a major overhaul earlier in the year.
Doesn't do it all the time, but it's certainly doing it more recently. Any tips? Seems as if it shouldn't make this noise?
regards

Hi guys,
I am familiar with the oil noise.....but I get another water noise from the front of the car just under the windshield.
This noise is a definite "gurgle" and seems to be coming from the windshield demister vents. Is it possible for these to get water in them? It is most noticable after cleaning the car, or being parked outside in the rain. When you get a bit of lateral acceleration going it sounds like water running from one side to the other.
I've had my Porsche Service centre check it out but they can't seem to find anything amiss (previous service manager dismissed it as the oil noise, but I know that noise, and this ain't it!) Current SM thought it may be a blocked drain vent or something, but they couldn't find anything.
Interested to hear if anyone else has had this problem.
Cheers
Tania
