Question Cab top micro switch help

In the archives there is a post regarding a cab top not working and guidance with the control unit under dash and fixing soldering problems. One post also referenced a micro swith under the hand brake in console and said that it can come off and has to be epoxied back on. Does anyone have a better description on how to get to the switch? I have a tip btw. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Topless -

I had the same issue. It has been a while since I did the repair - but it was quite easy. The console is held in by one screw in the back tray, and I believe some tabs in the front(?). Once you get the console out you will see a copper colored switch at the rear where the e brake causes the switch to make contact. The switch has probably just come out of place and needs to be reseated / adjusted.

If you have specific problems send me a PM and I will go out and take mine apart so we can compare notes.
