FWIW I have a GIAC chip from AWE on my S4. The are both pick of the litter in many Audi guys eyes. Its magic with the twin turbos. Lots of smooth power with no codes.

When I get a 95/97 ECU for my 96 993 I will go back to GIAC/AWE for sure

GIAC - knock..knock....ping..ping.. (usually sub-audible)!
Where did you say I can buy 100+ octane?

You can get it programed for different octane levels I think.

GIAC runs great. I had it on my X50 and eventually moved up to custom turbos (still witch GIAC). They have stock boost, 91, 93 and 100 octane flashes all switcheable through a hand held programmer.

How much are we talking about for one of those chips?

I don't so much mind the Ol' Lazarus of threads, it's the Loren Debate Factor that gets wearisome.

Shoot Steve Weiner a PM. I have the chip in in combination with a LWF it is a must. The previous owner spend the money (wisely) but I think it is around 1000 USD

As long as I can remember, Steve has given excellent product, service, and advice to Rennlisters.
