It should read "varioram" on your engine manifold if indeed a 96.

Very nice car! I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
I have some of the same options on my car. These two are actually complementary:
M220 LOCKING DIFFERENTIAL 40%
M224 AUTOMATIC LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL
220 limited slip is the mechanical LSD we know and love. 224 is also called Active Brake Differential (ABD). It's basically low speed traction control, using automatic application of individual rear brake calipers to reduce slip. I've only ever seen the system indicator light up when I was on packed snow.

Cheers Guys
Had a great weekend, used up my first tank of petrol and generally had a blast, this car is just so much better than I imagined
Had a look at my VIN and it is a T model year, so thats a 96 then Although there is no writing on the manifold.. Cool that there's a little light under the cover tho
Time to start modding me thinks.. I was going to start with red rear indicators, and clear front lenses
Actually looking forward to driving into work tomorrow for a change

Looks great. You got me going there for a while because I kept looking at your rear pictures and I couldn't notice any difference than my US stock lights, until I saw your plate and realized that you are in Europe.
Folks over here would buy the orange stops to make the car Euro spec looking.
We need to organize a red/orange stop swap between US and Euro rennlisters
P.S. Is your custom plate DISCUS the sailplane? Do you fly?
