Default I have them.....

Yes, I bought these a few weeks ago for my '97 993 NB. I was very impressed with the look and quality, they were a perfect bolt-on replacement for my stock OEM tips. I have no affiliation with the guy, but they were shipped immediately and really nice. Would definitely buy them again. I am out of town this week or I would post a photo. You can read the feedback I left for the guy on 8-26-06, I guess he sells a ton of stuff because I had to go back 12 pages in his feedback just to get to Aug. 26. My ebay ID is moto-aprilia. Paul

Just wanted to confirm that I installed these last week and they look fantastic. The fitment is a little different in that the donut that goes between the muffler outlet and the tip was not an interference fit as in stock. This definitely threw me at first, but it all fits together well and has not moved at all. Great price on nice tips. They look a whole lot like the Schnell tips....

Bischofs are oval, Gilletts are round. '95 thru early '96 are Bischofs, late '96, '97 and '98 are Gilletts.

fwiw: i recieved some oem nb polished tips from a lister & the fittings were totally diff. on my 'my97' than his early 'my96'... so i passed them on to another lister who had bischof 'my95' & they fit.

just my previous experience.

i will specify what set up when i order 'em. glad to hear they're lookin' good.

Well these are aftermarket tips, and the fit was not "perfect" in terms of fitting the donut on the flange of the tip. However, it does all go together nicely and has not moved a bit after driving it for a few days. Not sure your experience tanslates for all tips, and when i discussed this with the seller he was under the impression that they were applicable for both types and he had sold about a dozen sets thus far with no complaints. There was no distinction between the types available. PSTRAUB has a 97 and they fit well for his as well. The correspondance of the muffler and cat was the relevant mating from type to type, correct? The outlet on the muffler to go to the tip was round (so not oval on my early 95 Bischoff mufflers), so seems fair to me that the bischoff/Gilette distinction is from muffler to cat.
