I'm installing a ROW MO30 kit and although it has the upgraded sway bars it did not come with new front drop links. I notice that Gert specifically calls out new drop links ONLY for the C2 in his kits.
My car has some drop links in front that look like they will mate with the new bar, but I thought I better check with those that have gone before me to see if the drop links in their kit were different than the ones already on their C2.
If I need new ones, maybe someone couold provide the part numbers too?
Thanks for that info Bill, I guess I'm left wondering what the difference is between the "normal" and "M030, tt, M039"...
As I mentioned above, I can't see any reason my "normal" drop links would not just bolt right up to the MO30 sway bar? Is there perhaps just a difference in strength, not geometry?
I dunno, My ROW M030 front drop links are slightly curved. I looked for a pic but haven't found a good one yet. I am still using them w/ the JIC/TRG setup that is on the car now.
I upgraded to M030 and was told the standard front links work fine; as you observed, the geometry of the bar is the same. I'm guessing maybe the M030 and RS are stouter pieces.
IIRC the M030 links are curved so that they clear the C4 front axles. Viper Bob recc these over the stock front links for a C2 for a reason that escapes me now. (I believe they are shorter and also stronger). Anyway that's what's on my C2 now, kitted out with ROW M030 bars and springs.
V. Bob I'm sure can clarify. Also Jeff (In the Air) altho he may have gotten tired of walking everyone thru suspension mods....
Spuds993, my mechanic did not install the new front drop links for the M030 set-up because he told me the originals were plenty adequate. I have the new drop links sitting in my garage if anyone wants to buy them. Good luck with the install.
