Default Almost at 90k miles, what else should I do besides the standard 90k service

My car has 88k miles and is ready for some maintenance and I wanted to get some opinions on what should or should not be done.

I am planning on the following:
-oil change
-new plugs
-new wires
-front differential fluid (she is a c4s)
-gear oil
-t-valve (why not)
-rs pulley (or new pulleys)
-tranny seal is leaking and a few engine leaks also so all new seals on the engine
-all new lifters (the car has a clicking sound)
-Distributor caps/rotors and fuel filter were recently done.

Now, let me say that I am planning on doing all of this myself by dropping the engine (with a friend's help) and putting on an engine stand.

So is there anything else while I've got the engine out that you would recommend?

Also, how long will it take a noob such as myself to do lifters and seals?

Lastly, what is the best source for the above parts?

thanks!

Dual distributor belt. Since you will have the engine out, replace the P/S belt while you are at it, it is a major PITA to replace with the engine in the car.

You didn't mention pollen filter, but that's one filter that's gets overlooked quit often.

You guys are forgetting to suggest replacing the power band!!

Seriously now, it looks as though the shopping list is complete.

Check Sunset Imports in Oregon for all of your parts needs!

If was me, would get remanufactured dual distributor that includes a new belt.
Would not have anyone open a dual distributor unless they have done a number of them already. Porsche I recall suggests replacing the dual distributor, they offer them in exchange, however the price is very high. There are some good Porsche techs that can do probably just do the belt, but most shops do not and should not. To me, if I had 90K miles on the 993 would replace the dual distributor unit, not just the belt. But I always go over the top for preventive maintenance.

Replacing the dual-distributor belt is trivial and can be easily accomplished in less than one hour. For someone that has never previously performed the replacement it shouldn't take more than 2-3 hours. You don't need to completely disassemble the distributor, cutting the bottom and then resealing with silicone caulking, just remove the top.

I second Chris's recommendation, you can't beat factory seals for the 993 (or 964).

Like Jason says, the belt replacement is a piece of cake. I spend more time cleaning the thing than replacing the belt itselft.

If anyone needs their belt replaced, I would be more than happy to replace it for them. Seriously!

If you're at ease with it, check and if necessary, change the clutch plate. Take a close look at the clutch release bearing as well.
